 Notes:  Half-title: Journal of Captain William Hendricks ... Reprint of a pamphlet published at Glasgow in 1776. "The following authentic journal, wrote by an officer of the party, was sent from a gentleman in Quebec to his friends in Glasgow, who put it into the hands of the printers. They have subjoined an account of the engagement at Quebec which was wrote by the same gentleman who transmtted the journal." -- Note, p. 24. Text begins (p. 25): The journal of Capt. William Hendricks, and Capt. John Chambers, of the rifle-men, from Carlisle ... to Quebec ... The journal was apparently commenced by Hendricks, but completed by another hand. J.H. Smith (Arnold's march from Cambridge to Quebec, 1903, p. 39-40) attributes it to Sergeant William McCoy, of Hendricks company.
